50 States In 50 Weeks
One of my goals for 2013 is to visit all 50 states. All 50 states in 50 weeks. However, with the year containing 52 weeks, I’m going to utilize the last two weeks and cheat a little. Some say that it’s too fast. 50 states in 50 weeks? While I believe there is a definite line to cross in which you travel just to cross of places, things, etc. I don’t believe this crosses it. I’m not looking to cover every square foot of a state, just experience a little about it. That can easily be done in a weekend or less. One rule only: Simply driving through, connecting in an airport, etc. don’t count! I had a friend recently tell me he’s been to 50+ countries–if you count transferring through airports. Sure, that’s experiencing something. /Sarcasm
So, the update thus far:
50/50
As of Wednesday I should have Indiana on that list as I am flying into South Bend for the day and if things go smoothly I should be able to add Houston, TX to the list next Monday. 5 states by January 14? I suppose I’m off to a good start.
