I meant to write this a few months ago but never got around to doing it. What actually got me thinking about it again was a conversation I had with National Car Rental (Twitter: @NationalPro) a few days ago.
National hosts a weekly Twitter chat (#GoLikeAPro) and like any other chats, if I have the time I will attend. Just before January they were hosting their weekly chat and for one reason or another I ended up being contacted via direct message.
A few days later I had a package from National with a plethora of items to get the road warrior/sky warrior/frequent traveler through the week. Not only was a box full of items at my door but it was accompanied by a handwritten note from the social media team.
It was a complete shock and something they did just because. File this under social media teams that deserve praise.
