A trip yesterday down to Florida for some sun and nice weather ended shortly–4AM to be exact. Before I left the house I checked the mobile app and found that my ORD-TPA flight had been cancelled. It was probably for the better as the blizzard hammering Chicago today is having quite the effect on airport ops. So, a quick two day beach trip turned into a few relaxing days at home looking up future award routing. Lufthansa has been on my short list for quite a while now both with their A380 and the Boeing 747-8i.

I’m certainly not a huge “points game” person but since I started taking it a bit more seriously, I’ve managed to accrue quite a few points. Ideally I would love to grab a LAX-FRA on the 747-8i and then FRA-SIN on the A380. Best of both worlds I suppose.

Anyway, back to research and planning my next destination. I changed my schedule around so now I’ll be off for a good 5 days in the beginning of March. The world awaits…
